Are any of the Canadian members seeing new sets and shock, new castings from Motormax? It appears they have released a new casting, an '82 El Camino in 1/64. The Elkie is towing a generic camper trailer. Other sets include a Magnum wagon towing a '70 Challenger, another Elkie towing a GTO Judge, and the awesome F-350 casting pulling an early 70s Mustang. It doesn't appear any have hit Ebay yet either. |

We have them here in Calgary, Alberta Western Canada. I picked up the Ford f-350 with generic camper from Wal-Mart. Compared it to your Car of the Day posting if the same cast in Harley Davidson. Same cat and details minus HD badges. Not a bad pricepoint for the models if you get the truck and car together. |

AM I ever losing it! earlier this week I posted in the various bay about he new stuff at my Wally's turned out it is not Maisto but a Motormax combo, SORRY about the misleading info. Here are some further details My Wally's has a new thing from Motormax (not Maisto as I posted earlier) , a 2 piece combo, car or truck and a trailer, from my poor memory I will try to remember what I saw Black Ford Pickup Pulling a travel trailer Traffic Authority Dodge magnum pulling car trailer with burgundy classic Challenger on it El Camino pulling car trailer with I forget Dodge magnum pulling travel trailer Ford pickup pulling car trailer with another I forget what and I think another El Camino pulling a travel trailer the travel trailer's are identical in the 3 different combo's, pity because it would of been sweeter if they were different, The Chally is real nice, the tow hooks are huge as Maisto's always are, and they are easily removable by taking out the screw that holds the rear base, and installing them on any other Screw base Maisto. The traffic Authority Magnum is losing its tow hook, I'll be putting it on another Mopar to pull the Chally around with, I bought the Magnum/Chally combo and the Ford/Travel Trailer Combo, so far, will get more tomorrow.... Thanks for the pics James. Great to see some of these. The Ford F-350 rocks. I wonder if these all still have metal bases to them? The magnum wagon looks good in police disguise. |

Plastic base on the Ford.... with screws though, so you can swap it out, on the Magnum front is a rivit, back is a screw The Challenger is screws front and rear plastic base I like the livery on the Magnum, some thing different then the usual POlice stuff, "TRAFFIC CONTROL" and complete with a trialer to tow your car away....Imagine towing away an illegally parked 1970 challenger, I would be towing it home, and saying I never ever saw it let alone gave it a ticket. Thanks James for the pictures and the information. I just might have to check out these castings. The Air Stream type trailer looks good. And I neeed to see the Challenger up close and personal. If I like it I might buy it. Cheers. Cobra |

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
|
All the stuff looks good! I'll be waiting to see if they show up here...they could give the Maisto tow sets a run for the money if the price is right. Geeeeeez, the towbars look like pier pilings, or short poles found in parking lots with cable going through them!! |

Yes the tow hitches are massive, one of the very very few issues with this series. |

Few things, The tow hook can be removed with a standard screwdriver. Also, the truck I have is not riveted. Standard screwdriver again for easy customizing. |

If any of the Canadian members sees the Ford Truck and Mustang set, please buy one for me. I can work out a trade. Love that Motormax F-350 casting even if it has a plastic base. |
