Plastic base on the Ford.... with screws though, so you can swap it out,

on the Magnum front is a rivit, back is a screw

The Challenger is screws front and rear plastic base

I like the livery on the Magnum, some thing different then the usual POlice stuff, "TRAFFIC CONTROL" and complete with a trialer to tow your car away....Imagine towing away an illegally parked 1970 challenger, I would be towing it home, and saying I never ever saw it let alone gave it a ticket.
repost of teh base particulars

If any of the Canadian members sees the Ford Truck and Mustang set, please buy one for me. I can work out a trade. Love that Motormax F-350 casting even if it has a plastic base.
Crafty, I will definately pick you up one of these if it is still at my Wally's, I'll start a new box as yours is wrapped and just needs to be brought to the PO> And I do believe there is an F-350 or a F-250 or a F-150 in the box, maybe 1 of each, maybe maybe maybe......... And of coarse those mysterious MM racers...

I wonder if there are 2 sets at Wally's

Few things,

The tow hook can be removed with a standard screwdriver.

Also, the truck I have is not riveted. Standard screwdriver again for easy customizing.
A small Philip's works just a bit better......

No problems Bro!

These Motormax combo's are all I have to be excited about down here in diecast misery land. No JL's anymore, no GL's, no M2's, just HW's MB's, maisto, and now these Motormax. I have bought 4 of the 6 different combo's so far.

Haha, we're both "up here" in diecast misery.

We need to trade one of these days.

These Motormax sets are nice because they're also available in three scales.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Speaking of larger scale MotorMax, did you guys see the 1/43 Ford Taurus in the RoboCop diorama? I saw one at Toys R Us yesterday. Man I wish they'd do that in 1/64! It looked incredible!

The Rain Man, 1/43 dio is here, as 2 Grease dio's. I have a few 1/43 things, but if these dio's get any cheaper I am gonna pull the plug and buy them.....

We have the MM combo's in 1/43 scale and another scale... different trailer in the 1.43 scale then the 1/64 scale. Trying real hard to stay away from 1/43, no room....

I see your preferred brand is Majorettte, I have about 100 doubles in my Majorette garage. I have been planning on culling them out and putting them up on the trading block, I just need some time to do that. Winter project.

My lap top isn't able to go inline anymore, not sure what is wrong, so I have been doing all my posting from upstairs. My wife gets ticked if I bring to many cars upstairs with me, I need access from my cave. Thinking of getting a new used computer for downstairs. Although my wife has a spare laptop I may be able to use as she now uses Chris's all the time, she says she just needs to get her stuff on the old laptop she had,

Well I broke down and bought the blue FORD pickup and trailer with a Blue and Silver BOSS Mustang on it today at Wally's. It is one of the nicest combo's in teh series, This one I promised Crafty, I hope to find one for me at a later date.

I am leaving it in the package for now, as it will be leaving PEI

Actually I had picked up a second one earlier, ( thats makes no sense at all, 2nd one earlier  ) and forgot I had it, when I went to search for the Elke, I found the Ford too, totally forgot I bought it a couple of weks ago, and as I was in the chat room last night, I was opening drawers on teh desk and there was the Elke and teh Ford. I have 4 of the 6 now, missing the Dodge pulling the trailer, and teh Elke pulling the GTO, I will pick up the Elke and teh GTO as soon as my wallet recovers, next payday.

I would like to see the El Camino towing the GTO. Do you know what year the GTO is?

It's the '69 Judge casting that Motormax has.
