Here's the big haul from Petit LeMans! Ferrari of Atlanta had a booth set up and were selling these. They are some of the best pieces I've ever bought, they rival the quality of my DCP Peterbilt. They are gorgeous! I'll let the pictures do most of the talking. Be sure to look close as there is some fantastic detail here, too much to mention! The thing they can't tell you though is the price...someone at the Ferrari dealer was feeling awfully generous; I got these for $10 each!!! Oh, they're 1.43 scale, for what it's worth. Finally, they seem to be attached to the base via a triangular headed screw; anyone know a trick to get them off or am I just gonna have to find a compatible screwdriver? Better pictures when I can free them completely! I knocked the front antenna off of this one :'( ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Whoa! Those are incredibly detailed! $10? How on Earth can they be making money on them?!?![]() I have a Bill Elliott Coors Light Thunderbird that's tucked into the base with those same kind of screws. The only car I've ever run for COTD that was still attached to the base. You have to have the right triangular-headed screwdriver to get it off. ![]() ![]() So if any of these cars have tobacco or alcohol related sponsors, the screw is required. If not, it's possible that other cars in the range do and to save money, they used the screws on all of them? |

Ferrari selling Astons? Am I missing something here? But for $10 each though, they really are bargains. They're easily worth 3-4 times that. |

I've read about a special IXO screwdriver...so maybe just an attempt to get more money out of you. Although there has been at least one LeMans class winner that had a cigar company (Davidoff) as a primary sponsor, so you may be right Sean. And you're right James, I've no idea what they were doing with them. They had a bunch of Maserati stuff too, which is understandable. |

$10 each????He was not that nice to me when I was in the tent! I think he gave me a $15.00 price, which was not bad, but still not $10.00!!!!! NICE additions to the collection for sure. For my IXO cars, I use a small flat head driver from a regular screw driver set. Just small enough to fit in the triangle. Works very well for me. Hope you enjoied the race, I thought it was a great day! |

Hm, that's odd. I went Saturday morning, and there was a sign up with the price. Aston Martins $10, Maseratis $15, and Ferraris $20. |
