some years back i manged to burn myself by not paying attention and reading the full text of an e bay auction.the title was hw hardees cars.
no excuse, for my laziness, but it was at the end of the auction.and i knew that hw had made promo cars for hardees.needless to say i won.and you can bet if i even think of bidding on an e pay auction i read the fine print.
but so much for water under the bridge and my re-education of: always protect your self.
this is what i received:

the naked ta does seem to have a glue residue on the roof.so maybe the stickers where applied then rubbed off.
oh yeah i promised a ?
i also received this camaro w/the hardees stickers.was the camaro a hardees issue or did some one put the stickers on it?

This is one of two promotional pieces ERTL made for Hardee's - both had the pickup and trailer - the second one came with a Camaro - all had Hardee's deco. ERTL also did a couple of NASCAR Hardee's models - the '80 Chevy Superstock Car and the '81 Buick Regal stock car.

Hmmm...must not have had enough coffee this morning. The first car in the three piece set was the Pontiac Firebird and then the Camaro. If I recall, I think the Firebird came with stickers that you attacked and the Camaro came with everything on it. It is interesting to note, as you pictured, that the pickup had Hardee's denoted on the baseplate.

I also got burned on an auction by not reading the fine print. But you got some cool cars anyway.

thanks for the info.
i thought since they took the effort to put road runner on the base of the pu.and the cars have road runner tampos that there would have been a whole line of road runner cars.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I've seen the pickup and Camaro around frequently, but the Firebird is new to me!

The Firebird's beautiful. The others represent what I refer to as The Summer School.

I like the "vintage" Ertls... and a set like this makes it triple nice.

There is also an Unhardee's version.

if they are inexpensive you would have leverage at my trading garage with the Camaro and pickup!
