Well that just did not sound good at all did it? ;)

My wife has a small collection of maybe 10 or 12 cars in her office. Just random castings she has seen in my stuff that caught her eye and was quietly liberated to her own space over the years. Recently, while stopping by her office I noticed a sharp little Vette' that I had missed. She said she had grabbed this one from me years ago and I did'ent even remember it! And since we have a thread for Yatming, I thought I would grab a few pics and do a little sharing!

It has a bit of play wear, but that's part of the fun of an older casting!

It's funny that your wife liberates the ones she likes...my partner adds to my collection every once in a while. (he's not a car guy by any stretch of the imagination)

my partner adds to my collection every once in a while.

That's cool, does he know your taste and do a good job picking or is it more like "the though that counts" selections? My wife will take cars from time to time but she sucks at buying me something I needed or wanted. Though I would never tell her because I see them as sweet gifts.

He tries hard, but it's the thought that counts. Just like you I would never say anything negative because it's so sweet that he tries.

LOL! I know it well. But it is nice to know someone cares. Besides, if your like me, it's hard for me to find a car I like, much less anyone else!

I'll snap a pic of the small group she keeps in her "stash". A few of those I'd like to sneak back but she keeps an eye on me when I stop by! :P

Heh, let her know you'd like to have some of them back and that finding replacements would make an excellent Christmas gift. ;) Problem solved- she now knows exactly what to look for!

Funny thread...mostly because I know too well how these things go. My wife tried collecting at one time: Monopoly, and anything pink. She gave it up after a while. She did try to snag anything pink that came into my own collection during that time though.

As far as her buying me cars...I would say it's hit and miss. The one memorable piece of diecast she purchased on her own was a GL TRU Exclusive for my birthday last year. It's an Up In Flames 1:24 scale '69 Camaro...BWF, of course. This year, I picked out my own diecast, and she just kept it from me until my birthday. That meathod works pretty well!

One of my co-workers was dressed in what can only be described as a bright pink jogging suit today. Considering she's a redhead, it's a good look for her! it got my attention anyway! ;)
