This firm went into business by producing modified Renaults. The founder, Jean Redele, introduced high powered rear engined sports cars which featured fiberglass bodies. The company began to concentrate on Rally Racing in 1969. Alpines were also reportedly assembled by affiliates in Bulgaria, Brazil, Mexico and Spain . In 1974 Renault officially took control of the Alpine operations and subsequent models carried the name Renault-Alpine .

A model in 1:64 scale was made by Playart many years ago.

Norev 1970 Alpine A110

The Alpine A610 was made up until about 1995 and then Renault phased out the brand. Unfortunately there are no 1/64 A610s or GTAs out there.

Weird question- was the Majorette A310 ever available as a regular car? I've only seen doctor and police versions before so I've always passed on them, holding out hope to get a stock appearing model.

I too have only ever seen the police (in blue or white) and the "SOS" (in white), and all with the dome light on the roof...never a civilian version.

Here's another Alpine that often gets forgotten - the Majorette Alpine Formula 3 racer on a trailer.

It was never sold separately but only as part of a car and trailer combo.
