Station Wagon
This marquee was introduced by the resulting company Rover Group; following the collapse of the British Leyland Group in the early 1980s. This collapse resulted in an import/ sale withdrawal from the US market for a period of time. After many corporate reorganizations, the resulting Rover Group opted to reenter the US Market with their 800 Model. It had been developed in cooperation with Honda of Japan. For export efficiency , they named the car Sterling ( which has no connection with the any truck manufacturers, past or present!) Rover subsequently experienced limited success with this brand and thusly retreated from the US market!

Matchbox produced a model of this car in their 1-75 line . The name Sterling is caste into the basepate.
