This firm was founded by August Horch . He had previously started A Horch & Company , manufacturers of the Horch from 1900-1939. The new firm was called August Horch and was located in E Germany. But due to the similarity of the two names, the brand was changed to Audi In 1932 Audi along with Wanderer, DKW and Horch became part of the Auto-Union Group conglomerate. But in 1939 Audi as a brand ceased operations . It was not revived until 1965 as part of the newly organized VW Group that took over the remnants of the Auto- Union firm the previous year. Audi production at the present time is very healthy. Their interlaced four circle logo is reminiscent of the four
cars made by Auto-Union.

Many small scale models of this marquee have been introduced. One of the most outstanding models was recently made by Matchbox of the supercar R8 .

Terrific stuff, Dean-o. The Kyoshos look terrific as always, and I'd never seen that Police Zylmex before.

Allow me to add a bit more racing flair to the selection. AUDI is one of my favorite brands in the market for several years, I long for an Audi S5 with Quatro!
