Possibly the nicest one out the group I saw from Jada's latest police series. There is also a blue version of this one that I wouldn't mind having, but the paint had a chip and the chrome on the tail fins was sloppy.![]() ![]() ![]()

But, I wonder, even in 1959, what municipality could afford a 2 door Cadillac? Makes me seriously question the reality of this model! I do reallize that the TV Show "Highway Patrol" with Broderick Crawford did use 2 dr Buicks - but a Cadillac?

All good points. And one more for the road might be: Does anything Jada does completely touch the boundaries of reality in a totally cohesive way? Though they have had some interesting castings, this Caddy might be as close to reality as I've seen them come. And I've little doubt it found it's way into the guise of a police car only because police cars are selling right now, M2 has had interest in their version of this casting--so it almost made a certain degree of sense to shoehorn it into their line-up, I suppose. I'm not holding my breath that Jada will have a runaway hit with this line. It looked like very typical selections in basic black for the most part. Although when I was in WM yesterday, all of them sold except the blue Caddy with the bungled paint job. But alas, I have been wanting to see some classic cars dressed up as police cars. So this one found it's way home with me. The only one out of the set that did, BTW. |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Could always consider it a DARE car- they use a lot of interesting choices for their rides. |

Dave, this is a pure 'what if' type of car from JADA where authenticity isn't really the #1 goal. Making something that is cool and appeals to collectors who #1 collect police cars and #2 collect Caddies is the goal. Nothing more and nothing less imo. |

Yes, pretty much just another fantasy police car. Not the worst, nor the best I've seen, but interesting enough to catch the eye your friendly neighborhood police car collector and make him say, "Now there's something I don't have in the shape of a police vehicle." At least that's my story, and I'm stickin' with it
