Looks like one of Jame's yellow junk yard cars. Too bad it is missed up. Looks like a pretty good casting of that car. |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Sad Swifty is sad. I know a junkyard that could use it if you want to part with it though.

So do I, WOW! Man I wish that damage would just buff out... It brings tears to my eyes just thinking what a great casting that was once. |

As a Mini-Dinky, most probably fell apart from metal fatigue, so to see one that is not only strong enough to survive all these years is rare, but to see one strong enough to survive this punishment, is almost surreal! ![]() Dean |

This is before my time but I think "Dinky" was the manufacturer of choice here in Canada, so so many people still call all miniature diecast replica's "Dinky cars" and after 50 plus years of Hot Wheels to still have your brand name tossed around, it is impressive, particularily so when you have not made or released anything in Canada for over 40 years. Several times when I am in the diecast aisle, people have said "Oh you collect "Dinky" cars? It is usually with a raised eyebrow and a sense of we need the rubber ambulance over here guys, we have a real winner! but the words that jumps out in my mind is they still call them "Dinky Cars"

The damage on this one doesn't remind me of metal fatigue. The Mini Dinky models I have that succumbed to metal fatigue mostly crumbled away into little piles of "metal". This looks more like toy box damage or other real world damage. Most of my Mini Dinky models have survived - the ones I lost were two of the Chevy's - both crumbled at the same time. The Ford Corsair is a very nice model and one I do have in my collection.

I agree, this one has been abused badly. It would almost be a statement of strength against the reports of crumbling. |
