Eggcellent New Welly Castings

Some of you may have seen these posted by Dave in Perth on the MCCH. I am glad to say they now made it to our East Coast as well. These are Wellys that come in a Kinder-Egg like plastic shell - and only cost $ 2.00 per model. There are 12 in all but you can't see which ones you are getting. Doesn't matter - if you buy an untouched slab of 12 - you get one each. As for the price, keep in mind that an MB or HW cost $ 2.30 - so these are cheaper!

Here are my favourite ones:

Honda Integra Type R

Ford Focus ST

Toyota Yaris

Toyota Camry

Hyundai i30

Mitsubishi Pajero

Subaru Impreza WRX STi

And look at the details - again at less than an MB or HW:

There are a few more boring (for me) choices in this series as well

VW Golf, New Mini Convertible, Mercedes SLK, BMW 320i and Lamborhini Gallardo - all nicely executed but already done to death elsewhere.

Here's the Mini Cabrio - as you can see both the front and back axles are a bit out of whack - but I don't like it enough to buy a better one.

Thank you! I see what you mean about the axles, but the body is nice, and the detail is pretty darn good for Welly!

Oh my God! The Hyundai i30 casting actually exists! I've been waiting for it to be released for the best part of 2 years, and the only pics I've seen of it so far were on Welly's website and a pre-pro model at the Nuremburg toy fair!

If you are able to get any more, please let me know as I can't see them making it over here any time soon.
