Hello Everyone, I have searched high and low for a YatMing site for years. I always thought I was the only one who loved these little gems. I've had YatMings since I was a kid. I'm 35 now and have quite few of these babies. Take a look and tell me what you think. I collect these with my 10 year old son. When I was a kid you could get two YatMings for the price of a Hot Wheels. I'm a big Dukes of Hazzard fan and all the generic General Lees. That's why I loved them....... Here's a few.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have more if you would like some more pics. I like oddball and one off diecasts. Edited by Spennyman, Mar 8 2011, 09:41 PM.

First of all, welcome to the Garage. 2nd, that's a stellar Yatming collection. The DOH knockoffs of the General Lee are super sweet. I've never seen such an awesome collection of Chevy trucks and Blazers in mint condition like the ones you have shown. Great collection of mint and might I add, all metal based YMs. Trust me, you'll fit right in here if you like Yatmings. The brand is highly respected here on the Garage as you can see. Post as many pics of your collection as you can. The variations on tampos and colors for Yatmings seem endless and as we see more, we all become better educated and informed on the brand. Zach |

Welcome to the Garage! I have loved Yat Mings for the better part of two decades now. I had some as a kid, but really got into them after stumbling across them at both Woolworth's and KB Toys in the mid 1990s. You have quite a few variations I lack, and some I didn't even know about! I had always wondered if Yat Ming had done a "Dixie Special" Charger (I have the Aspen, and know about the Coronet, but had never even seen a picture of the Charger in this livery- I love it!)! So yes, definitely, we would love to see more pictures of your collection! |

Thanks for the welcome guys, glad to be here. I'll have to check my extras to see what I have for trading. I don't hoard so others can enjoy like me. I also have quite a few JLs and Hot Wheels. But I wouldn't trade that Dixie Special Aspen for an arm load of Redlines....... ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry for these crappy pics. I'll try to get some better tomorrow. ![]() ![]() Edited by Spennyman, Mar 8 2011, 10:33 PM.

Thank you for the additional pictures! Awesome display you have! And you have a wide range of Generals. At the bottom right of the Dukes picture, there's a Charger with an American flag on top- is that a Zylmex? |

Thanks guys. Very few people have ever seen my collection. For one they say "What's a YatMing?" and two ask "Why not Hot Wheels?". When my son was just a baby he had colic and the only thing that would make him stop crying in the wee hours of the night was showing him these cars on display. That means a great deal to me. I also have 8- 48 car cases full in the top of my closet. Swifty that car with the American flag is a re-paint ERTL. But I do have the YatMing Charger with the American flag on the roof and says "Charger America" on the hood. May be able to see in the pics. I do have the Zylmex with the flag on the hood and 77 on the doors. If you guys would like a close up of any particular car just ask. |

Thank you for the info! On a side note, I'm going to take a guess and say your favorite era for collecting are cars made between the late '60s and the late '80s. Which is pretty much my favorite era also.

Those little vans are gems. The reason the white, blue and orange one is facing to the right is to show the functioning sliding door. I have another white one that says "Virgin" on the side and two black and silver ones. One of the black ones is an extra. I'll post you a close up pic tomorrow. |
