The Vette based XLR is cool. Believe one other company issued the same model but I'm blanking right now. It had rubber tires and correct appearing rims . . . . Drats my memory is not good right now! As for the Bird, I'm also unsure what the actual # is. Swifty or Dean may be able to shed more light. |

The Firebird is #1030. And Zach, I think you're looking for Columbia Telecommunications Group:

I was going to say the same thing, but wasn't sure if it might be the 1060.. I don't have an example to compare the base on.. |

1001-1045 are all closed door examples, while 1051-1090 all have opening doors. 1091-1099 is a mixture of newer castings some of which have opening doors and some of which don't. Also, as far as I know, there are no castings between 1046-1050. Another easy way to tell in this case- this is a '79-'81 Firebird and #1060 is a '77. |

In addition to the Yat Ming, and the Columbia Telecommunications XLRs, Maisto also had one in their Players line. Blinged wheels on 'rubber' tires, and a metal base and quite a bit of heft on the earlier releases. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dean |
