Well, here's my go at trying a junkyard diorama.

Here we see an overview of the entire lot.
Posted Image

Here's the European row. This row features BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, and Peugeot.
Posted Image

This is the GM row. Here you can see a few Pontiacs, immediately to the left, and the Chevy section in the middle. Near the top of picture, you can also view the Mopar section. See any hidden gems?

Over here, the Japanese have invaded! And with them, they've brought a few Toyotas, Nissans, Hondas, and Mazdas.

I have a large (~60-car) order coming in next week, so it looks like the junkyard will get a few more mainstays! Hope you enjoyed the overview! :toy:

Nice yard! As always, new yards will get their topic stickied in this forum!

As for hidden gems- I see an Impy Imperial police car and is that a crushed Corgi Aston Martin? :wow: And is the crushed blue banger in that pic a Corgi Pacer with "Wayne's World "style flames?

And that Majorette Accord in mint green is way too nice to be in there!

You're right on all of those points!

There's actually another Impy Imperial--green, with a door missing--under the police car. That Corgi Aston was a complete wreck; even the wheels were unusable. And yes, that banger was modeled after the Pacer in "Wayne's World"!

Good eye!

Agree with Swifty...that minty looking Accord is very nice. If it needs a new home, let me know. I have the yellow one and a piece of the green one.

You guys are killin' me....cars I don't have in ANY condition and here they are in your junkyards.....
I'm lookin' at that Lumina van Taxi version.....I got one of those in the front of it from Crafty not too long ago, but yard sale after yard sale never had a Taxi version waiting for me.

So...how about it?

Oh, and just so everyone knows, the Accord is not mint. There are quite a few scratches and dings on the roof. (Incidentally, I got it in a trade from Sini Pismestrovic!)

Close enough to mint for a mint colored Accord for me! ;)

Well, the order came in last Friday...It wasn't around 60 cars...it was a whopping 128!! :O

At any rate, the yard has been expanded and re-organized (thanks to $5/yard green felt at Hancock Fabrics), and new pictures are soon to come. Stay tuned!

Well, as requested, here are the new pictures...

First, the yard had to be cleared out a bit. A few older bangers and GM products were taking up space and crushed:
Posted Image

And here's an overview of the enitr new layout:
Posted Image

Inside the blockaded area are the more desirable parts cars. Access to this part of the yard requires a $7 admission fee
Posted Image

The Ford-Lincoln-Mercury section of the yard. A transportation company that went out of business had their assets liquidated, and Skip's wound up with the majority of their Ford Transit people movers, as seen in the back:
Posted Image

Here we see the Asian section of the yard...
Posted Image

...and abutting it is the European section.
Posted Image

There's a reason why about a third of the yard is taken up by GM and Mopar vehicles...(Hey, I bleed Ford blue, what can I say?)
Posted Image

So, folks, that is our new layout! I hope to be adding more models--and maybe getting rid of a few in the future. Due to the current abundance of full-size sedans and wagons, a demolition derby may be in order... Stay tuned!
