Wow, everyone has some really nice junkyards and hopefully i can make my own one day real soon.
I would want a wheel loader and a crane in mine.

in the RC/ertl catalog, they've got some cool stuff in the 1:50 prestige line. any recommendations on which ones to look for?

Good luck starting your junkyard! I always enjoy seeing more junkyards!

As for the 1/50 pieces I'm clueless so I'll let someone else answer that part.

Good luck starting! I got my wheel loader from Family Dollar for $1.50 on clearance. It's all-plastic, and is in the John Deere line.

Might be worth checking out. As crazy as it sounds, I am actually going to be smelting some crushed car bodies so that I can pour the molten metal into a mold and make a weight for these kinds of things.

Harry dont listen to these guys ..l.o.l. A junkyard starts you on a never ending project you will never be able to throw out any junk ever again you might need it. l.o.l. If you have a tray like this it might be to late .The old wheels from wheel swaps .You did not like the wheels on a car so you change them right. I am not sure about that i think it is to get Stock for a junk yard . I told Pearl toss this crap out you changed the wheels the cars look better why keep it. But Jim it is perfect to glue a bunch of old wheels together for my junkyard. And my tire shop. AND.. AND ..AND ..your hooked ....
