I thought maybe it was time to start nominating castings for 2011 before we all forget what all came out. So far Greenlights Dodge Monaco ![]() And Matchbox has four... The Firebird ![]() Cadillac ![]() Lamborghini ![]() And the Toyota Four Runner ![]() Have not seen any HW or M2 as of yet. Please post pictures with your nominations so we all can see what you are nominating. Edited by Snowowl, May 22 2011, 02:35 PM.

Oh man, I would have to say the new racing only Mustang casting from Hot Wheels' Vintage series....just stunning, and NOT a multi use casting, as they are only race replicas. The overall shape and features are not road based at all. So my pick so far this year. Can I post this here, or is their an appropriate place elsewhere? I'ts the one on the left. The right is their first race version from the old two car 100% box set (a high mark to be sure) but here you can see the HUGE differences in the Stang racing castings. ![]() |

Johnny Lightning's 1977 Dodge Monaco (it's been a Monaco kind of year!) needs to be on the list. I got my first example of the casting at 2010's LightningFest, however, the casting itself only debuted at retail this year and was not eligible in last year's competition. I specifically chose this example because it's stock (as opposed to either a police car or a demo derby car) but this color doesn't show the casting off all that well (but it does look gorgeous in hand). I'm also curious why this stock example was given dogdish wheels along with a vinyl top. I'd expect dogdishes on a stripped down model and a vinyl roof on a premium example.

@ Emplywallet - Paul is right, the '73 Estate is an older casting thus not eligible for voting. I nominate the '70 Dodge Power Wagon by HWs. Perhaps someone could post a pic? |
