Interesting new aspect to utilizing some of these castings.
So what is the finally outcome?

Cheers. Cobra

Harry, I would like to have more info on the black Chevy truck. If you please, can take more detiled pics of the truck and let us know about the little extra touches you made to it. I recognize the truck but I would like to know how it came about in its current condition. I really like it. Thanks!

all of these cars originally began life with zinger or oversized engines. i found the zinger engines to be disproportionate to the cars themselves and set about trying to rectify the situation. initially i followed the normal course of drilling out the chassis and them attempted to ground out the motor from the underside. the process was long and tedious. in frustration, i discovered that i could use a rubber mallet and knock them off the car without so much as a scratch or drill out. then it was simply a matter of replacing them with a smaller blown motor. hence the post title. in retrospect, i should have taken pics of the cars before the engine swaps fr comparison purposes.

no problem firehawk, i'll take some more pics tomorrow, i think i merely did a wheel swap on this one but don't remember where the donor rims originally came from, perhaps a school bus methinks.
