How you feelin Bob? Took awhile to figure out the program, i think your problem was you did not save the picture as a Gif file. Anyways Pearl played around with your picture and this was the best she could do with it. You would have to do your picture over again to make it a Gif file. Pearl sets all her Gif files to open with internet explorer.

Not sure if this will work but anytime i download a program like this i check out cnet first. If it dont work just google Sqirlz water reflections and you will find it easy.

I am still trying to explain how it works to my wife but she is to busy playing with the water reflection thing .l.o.l.

Snowowl was the one who posted it on another topic and i thought i would try it and see if that was Bobs problem.

I did not read the tutorials never do l.o.l. I just click on things and see what they do. I will toss a few pictures together in the morning just to cover the basic steps
then you can try the settings and see the differnt effects . It is easy in one way and of course the more effects you add the more time it takes. I will start a new topic i already screwed up Bobs topic. l.o.l.

Jim... in no way did you screw up my topic! I want to thank you for jumping in!!! Your pic is fantastic, I really want to figure this out. Whats a Gif file? I'm not very computer literate.
Now back to your tutorial thread.

A gif file is just saving an animation like the moving water . A flashing tow truck light is a gif file kind of like a mini movie except it just keeps repeating itself. This one is easy i use a different photo editor for light work another freebie.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
There are dozens of different ways to save a file. Most common is .jpg (or Jpeg). GIF is the only format that allows for animations, but it isn't as high quality as a PNG (which is a higher quality GIF...but can't do animations). .bmp (Bitmap) is the standard default for Microsoft Paint. Those four are probably the most common.

Most of the graphics here on the Garage are in the .png format. The classic skin has some examples of .gif (and the avacars are also GIFs).

Hey Jim,
Do you have a link for the lighting program? Any help would be appreciated. I like the lighting effects you did on stangfrecks photos.

Swifty i dont know anything about the tech stuff just if i want animation i use the gif file ,jpeg for pictures .I play with things to see what they do i very seldom read a tutorial until i try all the things to see what they do.

Camarors .. The program is a outdated thing if you check out the website. like anything free on the internet you never know
what your getting. Anyhow it has some features you will like the lighting is not as good as photoshop but there are ways around it.

Dont know what you know about this stuff but to do a tow truck or the lights for Stangs dragstrip lights . You have to use windows movie maker to put the still photos on after you use the light system. Save it to your computer.

Then to convert it to a Gif file My wife uses Lunapic another free online editor and lots of neat stuff there as well .If you know what you are doing ,good, if not ,you get stuck i may be able to tell you how something is done and maybe not. I never read instructions or tutorials till i get stuck l.o.l. i like to figure things out as i go.

http://pho.to/editor/ The light program

http://www.lunapic.com/editor/ online editor to make a gif file also some fair special effects.

If your into this kind of stuff i am sure the next thing you will ask is how do you do tire smoke. .

A poormans photoshop . Another free download and this one will make smoke it has the layers feature.

Windows Paint program is fine for drawing tire marks on pavement.Make extra copys befor you try add smoke. l.o.l.

http://www.phoxo.com/en/ tire smoke the hard way. l.o.l.

You thought you were up late last night this stuff will have you wired up for a week lots of neat stuff to play with.
