That's among your best rust jobs. Seriously, lose the primer on the rust buckets you customize- they will look much better. The hood on this one looks completely out of place. They cared enough to replace the hood but not do anything else with the rest of the car?

I'm not mad, sorry about that! Sometimes I come off as too matter-of-factly. But I'm not mad, just crazy trying to hlep. :)

I gotta agree with the swift one. A new primered part with a lot of surfice rust looks out of place. And a nice set of wheels doesnt fit. It looks great! Dont get me wrong. But it should all "weather" evenly. This type of customizing is my favorite thing right now. Add your rust technique to the hood, like it was put on before giving up and to the wheels. An emery file to bald the tires. I like your work! Just throwing some ideas.

I'd actually like to know how you got the rust so realistic on this one. I keep getting drawn back to looking at it!

The car looks a lot better now . A suggestion the chrome interiors in some cars spoil the junker look in fact look terrible in a keeper car. Even a thin wash of paint on them dulls the shine ,example if you use a paint like Testors or whatever i clean out a brush i use in thinner, i dont keep the brush you can buy them at a dollar store and toss them away . I keep the dirty thinner could be a rust or brown paint i used on the brush. But that dirty thinner makes a good wash to put on a car.Kind of flattens the shine a little, adds a dirty look to the car.

The body looks perfect now- don't change a thing! I would agree with Bob on the wheels and Jim on the interior though. Make those mods and that one is perfect!

Using a very soft small head brush, after having that rust paint on brush, dip it in thinner, all this paint stuff is testors, and barely touch the body with brush edges. The soft brissles spead out and make pattern. I know that the dirty thinner was used a ton by Stupidsquirrel but I never have gotten mix right to make his look. I guess I have to try the interior.
