I hope this thread will be a good place for people to put pictures of their Yatming Lamborghinis. I'd like to kick things off with photos of one of my favorite Yatmings of all time, that 1059 Lamborghini Miura Jota. This is a very different model than the 1001 Miura casting that kicked off the small scale Yatming line. The real Jota was quite literally a one-of-a-kind model. It was a heavily modified Miura on chassis #5084 used to create a test mule that would conform to the FIA's Appendix J racing regulations. The Yatming Jota actually came in a few versions with the usual array of Yatming casting and tampo variations. Here's mine: ![]() ![]() Sharp eyes will see something very special about my copy of this casting. This is a very early version which still has the unique door frame design that echoes the real car. Check this out: ![]() ![]() Later versions of the casting deleted this cool door detail, presumably for manufacturing and/or child safety concerns. The doors will still open, but the dogleg is deleted in most versions. I searched far and wide for this version of the casting in this condition. Be careful when shopping for one because a design flaw means the rear suspensions easily (and irreversibly) collapse the rear axles into the body. For years I had a version with the rear-dragging action before I finally found this one, which I handle very carefully! I hope you enjoy my Jota, and will show your Yatming Lamborghinis below. |

First of all, I never knew about the dogleg version of the doors! Sweet, I need to find one of those! Here's a later version of #1059:![]() And #1002 (Marzal):

'Twas in dark teal with stripes, originally, with an orange interior. I think this looks better.

Nice custom, George! Somehow deep candy apple red is more fitting for a Lamborghini. I know (and have) the variation you speak of. I think that one was a breakfast cereal prize back in the '80s...when they still gave out real prizes.

Thank you. It seems that the vast majority of redos that I do are in red; it's my favorite color, and I'm just inclined to go that way. However, I think I've actually seen Miuras in orange metallic. I'm not sure, but in those days, the Prancing Bull came up with some unusual colors. The next Matchie Miura recolor will demonstrate this. Lime. Man, do I want the one Lane 1-75 put up there! I've never seen one with the doors as such (and without the hooks there, the subsequent correction just looks well...subpar!), but man, do I want one now. That's hot! |

I can see why this one is your favorite. It would be my favorite too if I had such great looking Lamborghini. |

I'm glad you guys like the Jota. Someday I'll find a nice Marzal like Swifty's. As for the regular Miura casting, I like that silver one with the Italian colors. The custom in a color I'll call "Alpine Countach-poster red" is pretty sharp, too. I have four regular Miuras. Two are the original casting with the plastic base. One is enamel green while the other is metallic. ![]() The other two have metal bases. The yellow race version is a placeholder until a better one comes along. The white one has the brand and casting details removed from the base, making it a likely cereal box prize.

The metallic green one is stunning! Aside from the yellow #16 (which I also need) I've never seen any of those variations previously. I do have a dark teal version of the white one with plastic base- that one was definitely a cereal box prize. |
