Tuesday Morning find on Saturday!

There is a discount or closeout store called Tuesday Morning that I hardly get to go to anymore. Well, this last Saturday I had a babysitter (Sister-in-law) to watch my son that Saturday morning. I did not have to rush back home after meeting Vince(VinniP) at TRU. After leaving the car show in Vince's neighborhood and after checking out TRU. I went to Tuesday Morning store before meeting my wife for lunch. Not much there diecast wise but I did find something I thought I would not find in a million years in all that toy mess. Its not very organized in the toy section so you have to learn to shift through all the piles of unwanted toys to find that gem. I have been wanting this Farm House set for awhile. I guess having patience pays off once in a while. I just love the price I got it for. I tried looking for another one to see if they had more but I must have gotten the last one. Not a single one left.

Cool!! That's a great find. The TMs out here don't usually have die-cast, but I still look anyway. As you got one, an amazing treasure could be found.

Ok pictures for you Firehawk73. First let me get the negative comments out of the way. l.o.l. The building is large takes up a bit of space . Cars are a bit off scale with the height of the porch railing .Ertl buildings are meant for kids to play with . Perfect we are just a bigger variaty of those critters. You got a great deal .

I bought one for Pearl 29.95 And a 70 mile drive to the nearest T.S.C. store l.o.l. She did not want it took too much space on her diorama . Gave it to a grandson .

Now a bit of flat paint on the roof and porch floor is a option just to give it a better look. Take the shine off the plastic. You will figure out how to park the cars so the building looks perfect .

Now Pearls pictures the building is 1/87 scale same building. And requires cars parked a certain way to look ok.

These pictures are just to give you an idea of what you can do with your building .

A guy sells a few cars to make a buck. The cars are to close to the railing on the porch makes the house look small.

Well it is l.o.l. Cars should have been ahead an inch or so.

The car is a bit further away building looks close to scale.

Just in case you decide to try a photo editor you can see they are fun to play with. This is Pearls pastime.

A pond is nothing but sand and podge and a lot of time to create. Cost around 10 dollars.

All Pearls dioramas are 2 inch thick styrofoam same stuff you use in building insulation 2ft by 8 ft sheets . Light strong and easy to carve and paint. If you ever decide on using it .Got questions then i will make another topic.

Another diorama same house.

Then she has to play. This diorama is about 5 feet by 2 feet.

Thanks Swifty. The telephone poles lift out when kids play with the diorama.

The main reason i posted this is to show the building Firehawk73 got is a neat building and it is very easy to add a bit of scenery .This building is just the compact version l.o.l. He will enjoy his new toy makes a neat background for pictures.

Thanks 123 l.o.l.

Not hard to find but the only problem is most are expensive. Check out the next model railroad show in your area. Some 1:87 scale buildings are fine in fact only 1:64 scale building i have is the ertl machine shed a very neat building for a car shop or whatever it is large but neat. Correct scale is more how you place a car than the size of the car or building. So many cars are not exact scale, some Jada ,Motormax , parked beside Johnny lightning are an example. It is what ever you like that is correct scale .l.o.l.
