The yard truck was a bit of fun on a rainy day. The carry rack and front bars are wire coat hangers. they are already galvanised and don't need paint. A hammer, pliers and screwdriver "aged" the truck for me nicely. Just picked up a new camera so will get some better shots for you all. The "Lubritorium" was a common sign above most garage/workshops in the 60's & 70's here. I thought it was an American thing? |

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!

Good work!! I don't do many chop jobs, becasue they take so long to make and look right. But I really like what you've done, especially the extended cab and long bed versions. Edited by ivantt, Aug 31 2011, 07:05 PM.

Thanks Ivan, I only use the Yatming Road Signature F 100's for chop jobs. They are cheap and a solid base to work with. I am reluctant to chop anything of real value ( I have a large collection of Matchbox and early Mattel F 100's untouched.) I use a Dremal and fine cut off wheel, if your careful there is usually very little reworking needed of the cut area. Then I use a body filler shape and hide the worked area and repaint it. |
