I would love to come and check this out doubt I'd be able to make the Friday but is there still a lot left to look at and purchase sat?
Saturday IS the day of the event. We just have a lot of hanging out and informal things going on Friday, although this year we probably will do the dinner on Friday.
Feel free to come and have yourself a good time on Saturday, that's what the rest of us will be doing :woot:

Last years classes

Outlaw-any unaltered car/truck/van.
Rip 'n Race-Anything fresh from the package when your turn arrives. NO TIGER WHEELS

The gravity classes should all be the same as last year. I'm not sure if we'll run a custom class for the banger racing since very few people show up with a customized banger. If we can get a full field of 16 we'll do it.

I spoke to the hotel yesterday and the group block had between set up. I assumed that would have happened when we set up the weekend last year. Anyways, mention the Keystone Diecast CARnival and you will get the discount rate of $69.00

Friday nights usually include kiddie kar, a diecast hobby shop, dinner, hanging out and buying/trading in rooms.

Saturday is much more diecast , once everyone is unpacked and set up, racing, raffle prizes, dinner, event cars, more hanging out...I'm sure I probably missed something in there.

Hey gang, I got some hotel news. First off, booking before April 1st will guarantee that you get the event rates. I suggest that you do that because there is a larger group that has the hotel booked for that same weekend and after the 1st my block of rooms become 1st come 1st serve. I have 15 rooms blocked and as of tonight 7 are booked. I can always block more but I never want to over block.

The next piece of news is that when I was checking out the status only one person got 1st floor status. In years past we pretty much had run of the hotel but this year there is another group and they are all flagged for 1st floor rooms. I think they are all elderly folks on a vacation tour. A few have earmarked for 1st floor required and my mom will check into it to see if they can move some to the 2nd floor but due to the amount of rooms they have booked versus what we have booked I don't think I can get us all on the 1st floor. I think the new manager got the other group in and did not know that we normally all request 1st floor rooms. My suggestion is that when booking the room you request 1st floor. That way it is in the system when you make the reservations. For those that booked already I would say to call back and request a 1st floor room as well. They may not be able to get you in when you call in but maybe on check in day you can get in if there are any cancelations.

See you all in a few weeks!

Since I don't have a lot ever really going on in my room, it really doesn't matter where they put me. But for the guys who bring a lot of stuff, the second floor might be a hassle.

Long time no see! Welcome back!!!!

If you arrive Saturday afternoon you're going to miss the bulk of the show (dinner's Friday night and most of the racing and events will be Saturday morning into the afternoon). I definitely know the drive well- I used to make it in about nine and that's without speeding (but also with no stops other than one fuel stop as close to the middle as possible (usually right on the PA/OH border).
