The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
This would be better if it had red headlights. Does this casting even have headlights?

No and it is like a 1997 model anyway.

The casting was first released in '99. I didn't remember this one, So. Tex. lists it for Xmas '00.

Got to remember Texas site has a ton of HW's but they dont list every one. I have found plenty of holes in their listings.

Yes, I understand. Most of the stuff missing are Code 3s, Dinner cars, Convention cars, that sort of thing. Usually...Robin is pretty good about keeping up with the typical retail stuff.

I thinks it's kind of interesting--for Christmas anyway. I recall seeing some of these cars, but either wasn't interested back then, or was early on in my diecast collecting when it was strctly JLs.

I actually liked the FE Phaeton very much, but after a few rounds of being Mattelized I gradually lost interest. My guess is it's patterned vaguely on a 33 or 34 Ford Phaeton, sans headlights. (Midnight Otto didn't have them, either)
