I still think Matchbox is missing the mark by not doing the Mini Van as a British fire and police van in the regular line or as part of a UK five pack. I know they did the van in the Lesney Edition as a Panda Police...although never saw it on the pegs and still searching for that one.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I love this one! Even if I paid an over-inflated mark-up because it was on a European card that was ultimately discarded... And people wonder why I hate packaging? ;)

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
Maybe at first, but I bet it comes in the US mixes later. It's a beauty!!

I found two of these in Mexico when they were in ROW only assortments earlier in the year. However, now, they are showing up, finally, in the US assortments. I've seen it a few times at Walmart and Target.

Actually, MB did do this one as a British Police van as part of their Lesney series. I found this one at a local Shoprite.

Not really, they were found here too - probably a ROW issue, but I never manage to keep track of such things.

Tilley would know.

It's in the regular 1-100 range for 2011 but at the time it was issued it was only appearing in ROW assortments (not USA or Latin America assortments) and it was feared that due to the distribution issues that have plagued Matchbox the past few years that these would not make it to our pegs. So I bit the bullet and bought one at Kiddie Kar for $6.

Now they're showing up here...six months later. As I often say- patience is a virtue in this hobby! ;) However, when they've got a limited stock and Mattel (hadn't at the time, but have since done so now) isn't explaining their distribution system...you don't take chances. It beats trying to track down a limited release years later.
