Support your local demo derby.

Sublime green and Hemi orange always looked bad ass Mopars and Mopar derby cars.

Sweet cars! Old Mopar cars look so good that they could have gotten away with any color and still look hot!

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Mopar did the wild & crazy colors best, no doubt about it. I'd give AMC the runner up position with their Big Bad line of colors (but there weren't as many colors and they weren't available on nearly as many cars, either) and Ford's third with their Grabber colors (same problems as AMC, but less excuses since Ford had more cars in their product range).

Dodge High Impact Colours
Plum Crazy
Go-Mango is actually Go Mango without the hyphen
Sub Lime
Top Banana
Panther Pink
Hemi Orange
Go Green should be Green Go
Bahama Yellow (should be Butterscotch Yellow)

Add:
Bright Green
Butterscotch was a Dodge colour
Citron Yella (a crappy colour IMHO)

Plymouth High Impact Colours
In-Violet
Vitamin C
Lime Light
Lemon Twist
Moulin Rouge
Tor-Red
Sassy Grass
Butterscotch actually a Dodge colour (Plymouth colour is Bahama Yellow)

Add Rallye Green
Bahama Yellow (is the Plymouth version of the Dodge Butterscotch)
Curious Yellow (a crappy colour IMHO)

My favourite of these colours is Lemon Twist.

And here is a reference:
http://plumcrazychallenger.com/High%20Impact%20Colors.htm

Did you know that some people also called paint code FC7 - Plum Crazy Metallic/In Violet Metallic as STATUTORY GRAPE

All paint codes are the same, just the names used by either division are different.
The High Impact colours were used from 1969 through 1973 until the recent revival on the Dodge Challenger.

We should be able to find most of these colours on JL castings.

Cheers. Cobra

They would never get away with such a name these days. ;)

As stated by others, you're a wealth of information on real cars and diecast replicas alike and I thoroughly enjoy reading your posts.
