I quite like this pair together. It's the first of many real "photoshoots" I will be doing to show off my little cars. I had a lot of fun shooting this, and I'm pleased with the results.

The photos look outstanding. I love the reflection and the blurry backgrounds. I need more time to play with cars, and take photos. It's been too long for me....

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Yup, I picked one out to add to our Picture Of The Month competition. This is our biggest field yet- 15 or so pics and each one's from a different member of the board! We are blessed to have an outstanding group of photographers here. New poll goes up tonight!

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
I'm still trying to figure out something to do with the Brasilia. It's a low cost auto, I think based on the Beetle or Variant, but a Brazilian version. The fact that HW did it as a rally or race car (one seat interior, roll cage) limits it very much as far as customizing. Being a 2 dr., that limits it from being a taxi. The only thing I can think of is remove the cage and make a pizza delivery car!
Otherwise, just buy the casting and enjoy the color variations, and leave it at that.

Make a custom interior to fit it?

Buy twelve of them and paint them in different solid colors and add roundels to the door and create a spec racing series?

Support your local demo derby.

Sweet pics of a V-Dub from south of the equator. With HWs doing this car from Brazil, the Falcon from Austrailia, Hyundai from South Korea, Japanese Nissan, BMW of Germany plus all the UK and American stuff, I think this past year was among the most diversified ones ever for the brand.

*Puts on his conspiracy theory tinfoil hat*

So Hot Wheels has gone to what made Matchbox successful from 2005-2009. And stuck Matchbox with...the kind of ugly over-tampoed junk that's been a Hot Wheels mainstay for decades.

I may not totally buy this, but even I think there's something going on here.

That pretty much sums up Mattel going into 2012 to a T. :)
