The rims do look like they are probably off the Classic Gold Chevy School Bus release. The truck looks really sharp with the tampos removed!

Thank You Harry for taking the time to do some more pics. Looks good and I need to find me one of those trucks. It looks great with the tampos off!

Agreed.
The truck looks MUCH BETTER sans the Coke tampos.
Great job, Harry.
Have you considered putting a set of black coloured steelies on the casting?
Even a set of grey/silver coloured steelies would probably work.
The Chevy truck/trailer combo that I sent to Sir Crafty had grey/silver coloured steelies on it.
Maybe Zach can post a picture of it here.

Cheers. Cobra

Support your local demo derby.

Pic of the Chevy that Gerry sent me as a raok.

I bought several copies of the Carnival of Thrills white chevy vega with white steelies to use on derby cars. They look as good or better than most other wheel choices.

I wish I had thought of that! There were tons of them when they hit Big Lots several years ago. I did not get a single one. I was trying my best to get all of the Gold Series cars, Lightning Rods and few extra General Lees whenever I could find them. I knew I should have listen to that little voice in my head when I saw them. It kept saying you need a couple of those for the movie car collection but did not listen.

The wheel swap really works on this casting.
I like how it turned out.
Thanks for considering my suggestion.

Nice customs. I never detampoed anything before, but some casting have really been improved by taking off the extra decals...and this is one of them.
