It's a good color combo for this car. Always nice to see one that isn't either white over blue or black over yellow.

Daniel, which 454 CID engine?
360 HP LS-5 or 450 HP LS-6?

Very nice pictures.
Too bad that the designers at JL didn't realize that very few 1970 to 1972 Chevelles came with the Cowl Induction hood.
Without the doomed hood, they could have made so many nice castings.
And probably sold a lot more castings to muscle car aficionados.

Cheers. Cobra

Either engine and Gerry your a winner. Funny I put the couple here together to prove something. Back when I was a teenager in High School in the late 70s' if you didn't have a quality muscle car then you didn't get to date the best looking chick you wanted. I drove a chevette so I played around a lot but I didn't get any top USDA choices for Laughing out Loud.

Funny Daniel.
Boy, could we get into some interesting discussions on your comment.
But we are a family oriented site so I will not go there. B)

Yes. :cb:

It's rare but has happened, and we've even had to ban a few folks over the years. Again, very rare.

Daniel, as you have probably guessed I am a big fan of 1966 - 1972 Chevelles.
I also like a lot of other automobiles from this time frame.
Look at all the different styles of this time frame and compare them to the mid-seventies to late eighties.
No contest.
I rest my case.

Your right that 1966-1972 was awesome years for automobiles. Look at the 1970 Chevelle, 1970 Boss, 1970 Dodge Charger and Challenger and so on!

Don't forget about 1969. I think that was the peak year for muscle cars and regulars alike. Its hard but not impossible to find a lame car produced in 1969.

Don't worry about that here. It takes a lot for me to hit the warn button. You would need to be attacking someone, posting completely innapropriate content (porn, gore, getting around our swearing filters, etc.), scamming, or just all around acting in a way that I consider detrimental to the forum to get warned or banned.

An off-color joke might get removed, but my sense of humor gets me in trouble from time to time too. I wouldn't warn anyone over a joke. I might send a PM saying 'hey, I thought it was funny but it really isn't appropriate for this forum' and that would be the end of it.

My parents had a chevette I used to drive around...sometimes making it do things no chevette ever should. Breaking and sliding sideways in the gravel. Once I had it airborn. But only once. The engine block didn't survive to try it again.

And I wasn't even a Dukes fan
