Finally scored the set called "the Point." Never really got to see one up close before...

Scenic overlook, lotta places got 'em, might be called Lover's Leap, or the Turnout, or maybe even the Point...so I never even noticed the kid in back pointing...

But the thing that got me:

Is the foggy glass on the flamed Badman...I never noticed that before either! Now the name of the set makes sense to me! A few years late and a little dense at times, but hey! It's all good!

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I remember thinking this was really cool when I saw it in stores but passed because I hate the casting. Not realistic enough for my liking, but had this been the newer '55 casting they did it would've come home with me. Is my memory as foggy as the glass, or are there handprints on the glass?

Just took a close look at mine in the light, and the only other thing I noticed was a little yellow dot where the officer is shining his flashlight through the window.

I do like the Badman, I think because of the Tom Daniel designs it is among the more believable. Granted, it is a Gasser, not really much of a street "legal" car, but compared to the Red Baron, Paddy Wagon, etc., it is much more "real."

So when I realized there was a BWF version, and went looking and ended up at this set, is how I started paying a bit closer attention. Little details like that keep the hobby fun!

It's funny you posted these pictures since I just opened one of these up today. It is a nice version of the Badman.

Well I just had to pull mine out of the drawer,
never took notice to the details on it, but I haven't
put it under the camera lens yet.. ..neat...

I have never been a big fan of this casting.
I wouldn't say that I hate it or I would never have bought it in the first place.
I do have atleast one copy of the casting in my collection.
Probably because I liked most of the material produced by Tom Daniels.
I think many of us relate him to the model kits.

Juantoo3, thanks for the pictures and the history lesson.
I think most of us learned something new today.

Cheers. Cobra

I like the "badman" casting, true there are better ones out there, but it works for the era..
