Another issue from the good folks at Color Comp. Skagit County is in the northwestern part of Washington State - between Seattle and Vancouver, BC.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
I wonder how many they ran and if it was a fund raiser for the EMS group? Maybe they'll take mail orders.

Thanks, John. If I would have noticed those hideous wheels Swifty mentioned, that would have told me that it was an older issue.

These ColorComp promo issues really flourished in the era of Matchbox releases with gaudy, unbelievable tampos all over. If Matchbox doesn't get turned back around to realistic schemes, collectors will have to hope ColorComp will start massive production of these nice promos again.

I wouldn't say Color Comp's running low on pieces but we got the bulk of their inventory of Supras for the Garage promo and I think the Crown Vic taxi we had made up for the CARnival last year depleted that casting all the way to zero.

I also want to give props to Bill- Color Comp does outstanding work and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs promo work done. They do more than just diecast for the record.

Right, I was agreeing with you. I just realized it didn't quite come out right. It's supposed to be set up like the old joke "I wouldn't say *such & such* BUT.... *the equivalent of the first such & such worded differently*." So yes, they're running low on the bulk of their blanks. Which is why so many new promos are done using cars grabbed right off the pegs.
