The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Great picture! I love this model- it was in a five pack if memory serves me?

It's better than the Corgi issue simply by not having a giant "The Saint" logo right on the hood.

I've already seen pics of people just doing that - putting a giant Saint logo on it!

(And why was it a 5 pack exclusive anyway?)

No it was a show with Roger Moore The Saint TV Series 1962-1969

Probably should add it was a British TV show...like the original Avengers. While I liked the Corgi Jr. Saint models - it was kind of a pain to have the big saint logo on the bonnets. It would have been nice if MB could have issued the white Volvo as just a single release.

And who knows...maybe "The Saint" does indeed root for those Saints who play American football in the jazz city of New Orleans.

Support your local demo derby.

I'm in the same boat as Rob, never heard of the TV show before.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
I don't think I've ever seen the US show in syndication. Since it was on for 7 yrs., that is odd that we haven't seen it on one of the nostalgia channels. Legal snags, I suppose. That's probably why many don't remember it or ever saw it. I do remember seeing the UK version a few times.

Top notch series which Moore also directed and produced, tied as longest running British show with the aforementioned The Avengers 118 episodes [6 Series].

Film version with Val Kilmer showed back in '96. Was originally a pulp novel series back in the Depression...which spawned a pretty horrible breed of disposable Saturday matinee serials.
