The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I was just looking at the newest ones a few days ago. Anyone know if the latest issues are based on real cars or if these are fantasy racers?

That's what Super Stock snorkles looked like in the 80s. Everybody had them.

Have not done research, but 90 percent of all the drag racing releases are made from the Current cars racing in the Nostalgia drag series that have the old REAL 70's and 80's racing graphics on them. Like the Stardust, Bubble Up and the Gang Green and Yellow Funny car Camaros and Dick Harrell camaro. The Pro stock and Super stocks of Mopar Missle and Grumpy Vega and 70 Camaro old reliable show up at the car shows held during these nostalgia meets and also several of these cars have been sold in last couple of years at Mecum, Barret-Jackson and Gooding auctions. So HW does not have to chase down and old driver and pay him for rights, they use the current car today they see at the events to make the copy. This also works for the SCCA trans Am series cars like the yellow boss 1970 Mustangs,Sunoco Camaro, Green challenger and HW racing challenger all have the real schemes raced and are raced today by Private owners in the Nostalgia trans am races.

That makes sense- thank you for the info! I suspect the same is true of the GreenLight racing issues as well.
