When I was a kid, these were as common as Bazooka bubble gum. Over time, they went from the wire wheels to the plated hubs, and finally to red. There are red ones with regular wheels (expensive!) and green ones with Superfast (almost as expensive). I didn't care much for it when I was little...I, however, fell in love with it in my adulthood. If I have a dream Ferrari, I'd have this one-the car has so much class. This one and the 330 GTC. Absolutely stunning. |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

It's a gorgeous car and a great model. I don't collect a lot of Regular Wheels but I made it a point to track one of these down. Wouldn't mind getting a Superfast one (red will be fine- but I'm afraid to ask what the prices look like!). |

I got a red SF one at Charlie's Parsippany show back in 1999 for $25. It's the red RW ones that are STEEP. I saw a well-loved worn and chipped example at the Five & Dime in Lambertville in the mid '90s for $400. The only person I know of offhand who has a green SF one's Christian Falkensteiner, but I'm sure there are others within our reach... |

Only a couple of hundred 250 GT Lussos were made between 1962 and 1964. So, while not as rare as, say, the 250 GTO, or, God help us, the P5, they're not going to be common, either, especially in mid-America. |
