The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I have the Santa & Rudolph ones from I think it was 1997. They were too cute to pass on!

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
Kind of bottom feeding for subjects, isn't it? Of course these become collector's items, LOL

Well, they were kind of premium issues back then, and a bit hard to find at first. Not long after though they started making the rounds on the 'bay and then they weren't so scarce. In a way these were some of the first JL holiday cars, between the Christmas and New Years' issues, and the 4th of July issues that came out within the year one way or the other (I don't recall which came first). Cheesy, but fun. I've still got mine somewhere.

The whole idea might seem a bit cheesy offhand, but look at the amount of artwork that someone spent the time doing all those figures, plus the cars. It would be unheard of today for someone to pay an artist to design a card like that. And it isn't even something they can use a lot. PM certainly put the effort into to those cards.

I don't think if I ever opened my Christmas cars- the artwork was far and away better than the cars they came with!
