Is it? I wouldn't know but it's worth to look at or talk about. If our man Mac could come forward and let us know.

Daniel, it could be very well be one of five or even one of one.
I don't pay attention to this type of material so have absolutely no idea of value.
Personally, it is something I don't need even though I actively collect this casting.
The regular versions are just fine for me.
Thanks for passing along the link and good luck to those that may choose to bid on it.

Cheers. Cobra

This is BEFORE the time of Tom Z.
It could even pre-date Mac Ragan.
I think that Mac was still in New York back in those days.
(Mac, do you still remember the big "brown out" in NYC?)(and much of the eastern US)
It would definitely be from the time frame when Tom Lowe owned Playing Mantis.

I've looked at these prototypes in red over the years and thought some were pretty neat, but if it's real, and dates back to PM days, these things usually end up going for more than I could usually afford to pay.

Other than that, since I don't collect, I don't have any real info. But it will be an interesting auction to watch. My only other thought here is that if it's real, and the "Big Boys" of the collecting community start firing bids at it, you'd best have a nice disposable sum in your bank account.
