I remember when cars actually had tire with thin red lines, pretty sure that's where Mattel got the idea. I haven't seen a real one since the late 70s, an unused *full size* spare hiding in the trunk of a Firebird.

That is definitely one of my favorite JL wheel/tire combos from the PM era.

agreed juantoo, after my initial encounter with the rebel rods series, it was the mopar muscle and the muscle car series that hooked me in. i remember them being pricey at the time, but whoa the redlines were so reminiscent to me of my old hotwheels, and the quality and detail was in a word, outstanding.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
I believe redlines were offered by some GM cars in the muscle era. I know you could get them on GTO's.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
They look good on these cars- especially the Cougar and Thunderbird.
