Support your local demo derby.

I was lucky enough to score one from Eric. There are many color and wheel varis to this one.

I like that a lot...70s issue? Just guessing based on the styling. Were real Scouts available as an open/soft top model? Does this represent a real race vehicle?

I don't know if it's based on a real racing vehicle or not (my guess is no but I can't say for certain) the Scout was indeed available sans roof (soft tops and removable hard tops). And this issue is indeed from the '70s.

Not a real race vehicle, just Mbx designers whim.

Knowing human nature and the desire to go fast...I can imagine a few people who found a way to race the IH Scout. It is interesting that Matchbox listed it as a Field Car - I am not sure they ever did use the IH Scout name.

Thanks for the info. I enjoy off road racing but don't know much of it's history.
