The Dodge Ram SRT-10 and the '56 Buick are models to be on the look out for imo. Believe both are new castings. Think the '52 Sea Grave truck is new as well.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
If this list is accurate I see some tools that haven't been dusted off in quite some time- the Vibe and XTerra come to mind.

I'm pretty sure the Dodge Ram is an existing casting:

Mustang Cobra convertible
Is probably the '07 Shelby Mustang GT-500 convertible and not the '95 Cobra convertible.

There was a preview picture of the Land Rover 90 in one of the Ambassador reports, and it was one of the few that was pretty tastefully done.

I doubt the Mustang Cobra listing is the Shelby GT500. Two different names, and the '95 Cobra casting still exists (remember it was issued as the exclusive car in the 10-packs in (I think) 2010.

I have always thought MB was letting a gem slip through their hands by not modifying the Ram SRT casting from its inaccurate 4x4 stance, to the low, performance stance it actually had. When California got a hold of the MB line, and castings were being modified (4x4 Chevy Van lowered to a regular van, for example), I always thought the Ram should have been done, as well. I doubt they will have modified it for this release, adding cost in a time when budget is tight, as it is. But it would still be a very nice surprise if it does not show up as the 4x4 this time.

If this is accurate, it is an impressive list of older castings (Vibe!!) - but let's hope the new guy who is taking charge of MB can fix some of the horrid tampos and colors that are planned for this year....otherwise its a waste to have all the great castings re-released with ugly tampos, neon interiors, and birthday-party-colored windows.

I sincerely believe this list is not correct. Why? The 1-120 list will be first given to the MB appointed Ambassador who will then release the correct listed cars to the World. This has not yet been done. Thus I sincerely question the above list. Shabbir ( the Ambassador ) is a close collector friend and is a member of PMCC . Plus, he was my roommate at the ABQ Gathering MB Convention 2 years ago! When he gets the full info , he will send it on to us. Probably some of the listing is correct, but I have a strong feeling that we will find some glaring differences when hislist is given to us !
Apparently the Batcar will be generic as will most of the new tools - but not all! The 2 new tools that were announced last July at ABQ, that I am in need of are the 56 Buick Century Police and 2011 Charrger Police

The more I think about this list, the more I think it is someone's fantasy list, just to tease people. The Xterra? The opening rear hatch was determined to be too expensive for the mainline years ago. Recasting it with a non-functioning rear door? More expense that is just not likely under the current economic conditions.

And many of the others just don't seem to jive with the typically expected path of Matchbox. The Mission Chopper being released as a single? Boats making a comeback? The Vibe - absent all these years despite the fact a lot of collectors were begging the Matchbox team for it to be used again all those years....consider that the '03 Vibe has gone through a major facelift in '05, a total redesign for '09, and discontinuation after the '10 model year, it is hard to believe MB decided to finally bring the '03 back into the mainline.

Blame the 'crafty' guy for the early post.

I saw it posted on the HWs blog and thought it could be of some useful info. We've not heard much from the new Ambassador and I wonder if Matell isn't stalling on the questions he presents them with.

Again. Until Shabbir confirms the 1-120 list I would not take anything stated on the above list as "Gospel"! I agree with Dean. this appears to be someone's dream list. And as I stated above, Shabbir is very diligent in promulgating immediately any info MB releases to him. MB is definitely giving us all a lesson in "patience being a virtue"! We just have to sit tight and wait for the correct word from El Segundo! As stated previously, most new castings (but not all ) are generics.

A Batmobile, really?
And to make matters worse, it won't even be a replica of a Batmobile from the movies, comics, or cartoons. It's going to be a complete generic design.

That's right, Matchbox is paying for a Batmobile license to make a fantasy Batmobile. :duh:
