I thought I'd give this a go because I have 2 things that lend themselves to creation of dois, such as a junkyard in the future.
First is a lot of parts and project cars for my customs and the other is a 22' by 30' finished room upstairs in my garage that I don't use.
Anyway here is a small set up to see how I feel about doing more in the future.
Please feel free to be critical if there's any advice you think might get me on the right track.

Thanks Greg

Nice use of the old Revell locomotive buildiing - never thought of using it as a repair/junk yard shop.

Love the old railway shop surrounded by wrecks, really looks the real deal. Common for wrecking yards to be set up in older buildings. Well done with the lighting as well.

Sort of reminds me of the old Newport railway yard buidings.

That is really cool! I like that! Its not good though for someone leaving the Junkyard after dark. You need to rethink your business hours. (at least the Firebird is on top pf the pile....LOL)

I have several questions concerning a few cars that have peaked my interest in your pic. The Monte Carlo with a full roof I would imagine its a HWs but what roof did you put on it?

The blue Ford Stepside looks good and I have no ideal the casting and if it is one of your customs or both but that really looks good. I also would like to see more of that Pontiac Grand Prix stock car. I know that one is a HWs because I recognize Mattel's handy work in the glass...lol

Hi Firehawk.
Yep, you spotted a couple of the customs I snuck into the shots.

The roof, glass and interior from a Maisto AllStars 86 Monte carlo were a good fit to 'stock up' the blue Montezooma. It also has an eggcrate grille.

The Ford pickup was a tonka wrecker with the giant skinny wheels swapped out, a front bumper, the side windows opened to show the interior and the hood bulge reduced. The rims on it are Kidco lockups. There is an unmodified one parked behind it in the shed in one of the shots.

Other mods are the grey Kidco Monaco Coupe with Matchbox front and Tomica Seville interior and the 63 Riviera made from a Maisto 65

I'll do a topic with a bunch of these type of mild makeovers soon
Cheers Greg
