Within a 3 day span I found all the new M2 Pro Street style cars (I think)... 68 Firebird: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 57 Chevy: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 69 Dodge Daytona: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 70 Torino: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 70 Mustang: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 69 Road Runner: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() These are wicked looking cars... I'm not crazy about the wheels on the 57 Chevy and the Daytona, so they will soon be swapped !!! Edited by Stangfreak, Mar 30 2012, 10:38 PM.

Nice pics Steve. Think it's cool at the sub $4 level to see this type of detail. I splurged on the Torino to keep up with having the complete set. |

I agree 110% Crafty... These M2s are the greatest for me so far... Very easy to modify and customize, easy wheel swaps, great detail, and the quality has improved a great deal over the last few years... I also like the variety of the oldies and the 70s muscle... Those Studie trucks and haulers are great just to sit and admire.... One thing that does bug me though, is Walmart raised the prices big time from $3.47 to $3.97 for the Drivers, and Auto-Thentics are $5.88 now !!! |

I too love the M2 cars. The "Drivers" are my favorite line. It is the door gap thing I don't care for on the opening hoods and doors of the other series. That is just my opinion though. Those are really nice photos and collection. I wish I had the knack to get nice pics. |

if you have a digital camera, check to see if it has a Flower setting. That is your best bet for in focus close-ups of diecasts. Some camera's hide it in another setting, like my Kodak Easyshare with rotary selector has Flower , Night, Fireworks under the SCN setting. Sometimes you have to look through your camera's options thoroughly to find the right one. As much as I take pictures, it's only been the last couple weeks that I found the Flower setting, and found out it is SO much better at close-ups than the Head shot setting. So explore your camera, and try different settings. You can always trash the pic, if it's digital, that's what's great about that over film, almost instantaneous learning! Jerry |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Very nice! I consider you an expert in the area of turning stock cars into hot rods or drag cars, so I would love to know what you think of this series. Do you like the motors and scoops? |

Thanks for the tips Gremlin, I knew about the Macro setting (flower icon). I just feel I need help composing the scene with the correct lighting and backgrounds. Most of the pics I have posted are with my iPhone, then I take them into Photoshop for color correcting, cropping and exposure adjustment. I have a Canon A590is PowerShot. It is a nice camera, I just need more patience I guess. Thanks again. |

Yes, lighting is VERY important, that's why you see professional 'shooters using backlighting, softened, etc. Just using "what's available", sunlight, room light, etc. isn't very, er, predictable. If you have some sort of standard and consistent lighting, then you can set up the shot with similar settings every time. Not everyone has the money to buy lighting, but you can make your own, too. Good luck. Jerry |
