Bill, it was a pleasure to finally meet you. It's always great to meet a fellow diecast addict because you "get it". We all have friends that don't have a clue as to what our attraction to little metal cars is - - - if only they knew how much they are missing!!
I do appreciate the effort you and Kevin made to drive such a long distance. The same goes to the others - jedimario, roadwarrior, etc. Having more guys at the event makes CARnival such a great event. Getting guys from farther reaches of the country makes it an amazing event!! (remember stupidsquirrels coming all the way in from New Mexico??)
Rick, Sean and Nick - you guys should be proud with knowing you pulled off another successful CARnival! I know it's alot of work but we all appreciate your efforts! :1: :bangles:

Mark, I think you really hit on everything here. Sean, Nick, and Rick really do a lot here...and it is greatly appreciated by all who attend and enjoy themselves.

Plus, I think what you said about other people missing the boat, or not understanding the metal car craze is really something very true of all hobbies, and even many interests that are not popularized by media attention, or land on someone's top 40 list of hit things to do, or buy.

I would say that for all who come to these message boards to share their hobby with a community, and have said that the good folks here have made their collecting even more fun...to try to join us at CARnival next year. Meeting the folks who are on the boards really takes it to the next level. As Sean and I were discussing, each year seems to get better. And this is because as we all get to know one another a little better, it makes CARnival more of a weekend hanging out with friends, or family, rather than simply calling it a diecast event.

I gotta talk it up with the Jam Crew! I've already mentioned it to my new friend, Harry. He's not on any of the boards but he is an absolute diecast (and 1:1) nut! His weakness: 1:18 scale. But I've shown him the light with 1:64 - less room, MORE CARS!!! :woot:

Let's fill every room in 2013!! :bangles:

It'll be April before you know it once the holidays come to a close.

BTW, Ricky, thanks for the Christmas card you and Tena sent. Hope to see you both in April

Has anyone made their room reservation yet? :o No excuses, folks. If you live within 300 miles to Denver, PA, make the effort. Guys from Missouri and Indiana make the trip - what's your excuse? Rumor has it that a certain someone might be coming in from Montana!! Let this be the year that you hop off the fence and make the trip. You'll have a blast, you'll meet fellow collectors, you'll make new friends, you'll get to talk diecast, you'll realize you should have come to CARnival years ago! Pack your bags! If you want to extend your trip, there are plenty of sights to see in Lancaster County.
Hesitation will only disappoint; staying home will foster regret. Come spend a weekend in April with fellow diecast junkies!! (you know you want to!!) :bangles:
