10 or more years ago, I had a whole bunch of them. Then I realised you could sell them on ebay and turn your (then) worthless Aussie Dollars into US$ twice as much and buy Tomica with the proceeds.

Well - this is my last one - it does look rather like the HWs, doesn't it?

I do like the Majo 57 Chevy, but then I like 57 Chevys in general. Yep, they do compare well with the HW version (at least the old, familiar version), and in some respects are even better...I like the ride height better and the blower is a nice change from the HW. I like the flamed paint.

It's always struck me as a goofy casting. I have picked up the few that were available back when they were new, and still available in the US, but I have never put any effort into tracking down any other variations. I know I have a few; maybe as many as five, but I just checked and I do not have any pictures available. hmmm

This casting always had a funny place in my collection.

I have one that I've had forever, and it's really minty...

...Mostly because I called it "old race car" and it therefore was never "driven" in my scenes, but only put on display!

There are endless variations to this casting it seems, and no known differences between the France and Thailand versions.

Not one of the better '57 Chevy castings out there. I still have the Peter Pan version - will be showing up in the sale forum shortly.
