This is a nice new series, I was thinking of buying the ice cream sandwich tanker truck a few days ago, then hit a TRU on the way home Friday, and saw the early 50's Advanced Design Chevy p/u / canopy truck, first time I'd seen that truck, so I bought the tanker and the 50's Chevy truck. Lookin' good!

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
For those who've never had Carvel, you're missing out. I had them in New Jersey where I grew up, and they were one of the places I grew to miss after moving to Pennsylvania. Dairy Queen is okay, but Carvel is superior!

Back in 2008, on my way out to a diecast event in South Bend, I had Celica Baby as my passenger. She's from Oregon and had never even heard of Carvel. We stopped at a rest area in Ohio and I was shocked to see a Carvel inside. Even she agreed it was the best ice cream she's ever had.

I picked up three of the cars in this series- passed on the tanker but got the Chevy (and the Buick, and the '80s ice cream truck).

Carvel is a brand I had never heard of - of course I have never really been east of Illinois - just proves that collecting diecast toys can be educational. :D It is a nice series from Hot Wheels.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
I got a few of these, and a few days later when I went to get a haircut, I found a Carvel store on the west side of Las Vegas!! I have never seen any stores out in the western states. Maybe I haven't been paying attention??
