The All Original Gentleman
|
1) - 1958 GMC Suburban Carrier - Cape Blue & Dover White - ALL NEW CASTING!!! More rare than the Chevrolet Cameo truck, is the GMC Suburban Carrier truck. This 1958 example is painted a beautiful Cape Blue & Dover White. What made the Cameo & Suburban Carrier was their unique slab sided fibreglass beds, taillights, and rear bumper. The white interior really plays well with the two-tone exterior as you look through the large back window. Motivation comes from the GMC 336 cubic inch V8 engine. The rolling stock consist of full caps and wide white wall tires. This is one extremely rare truck. 2) - 1959 Chevrolet Apache 4X4 - Yukon Yellow & White This 1959 Chevrolet Apache 4X4 truck is ready for any adventure weather it's on or off road. The color is called Yukon Yellow, yes we know it looks orange (we didn't name the color). The top portion of the roof is White and so is the optional visor. Also notice that this is a small window cab. The bed is also unique as it's a step side bed with the optional tire mounted just behind the driver. The drivetrain consist of the 235 inline 6-cylinder Chevrolet engine, manual transmission, and 4X4 transfer case. The rims are the 4X4 steel wheels with small hub caps on brand new OEM 4X4 tires. 3) - 1956 Ford F100 - Springtime Yellow Here we have "Morty," one cool slightly custom 1956 Ford Truck. This truck is made to honor a father of a long time friend of M2, Greg. Greg still has his father's 1956 Ford truck. It's painted a light yellow, so we went with a 1965 Ford color called Springtime Yellow. The truck has black interior and a V8 engine. The wheels are black steel wheels with small chrome caps and thin white wall tires. You'll also notice that the back window has "Morty" to honor Greg's father. 4) - 1956 Ford F100 Stake Bed - Light Gray Work trucks are cool, and this one is no exception. The old Ford where's the logo of our good friends over at Die Cast X magazine, check them out over at www.dcxmag.com. This 1956 Ford F100 stake bed is painted Light Gray with black interior. The engine is Ford's 223 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder. The truck rolls on black steel wheels, small caps, and black tires. 5) - 1951 Studebaker 2R Truck - White When your drain backs up, call Winston Enterprises. This work truck is a 1951 Studebaker 2R truck with a service body and straight 6-cylinder engine. The white truck has tan interior and rides on white steel rims with small chrome caps and black tires. This work truck is ready to fix your plumbing issues. 6) - 1957 Dodge 700 COE Truck - Sublime Green WOW!!! This custom 1957 Dodge 700 COE is going to get looks where ever it goes. The COE has a custom step side bed and huge chrome stacks to let the exhaust escape. Covered in the muscle car color Sublime Green gives this old Dodge a real attitude. The chrome Budd wheels are wrapped in large red line tires. O yeah, it's got a HEMI! CHASE TRUCK - 1958 GMC Suburban Carrier - Black & Gold - ALL NEW CASTING!!! More rare than the Chevrolet Cameo truck, is the GMC Suburban Carrier truck. This 1958 example is painted a beautiful Black & Gold. What made the Cameo & Suburban Carrier was their unique slab sided fibreglass beds, taillights, and rear bumper. The black interior really plays well with the two-tone exterior as you look through the large back window. Motivation comes from the GMC 336 cubic inch V8 engine. The rolling stock consist of full caps and wide white wall tires. This is one extremely rare truck. Since this is a chase car the trim, bumpers, and rims are now Gold. Good Luck! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Those GMC trucks are very nice. Like the chase truck thanks for posting the pictures. Now If my M2 friends can make me a old chevy car like this Styeline Deluxe.![]() or this 1949 Chevy Coupe. ![]() I don't mean to kidnap the thread but M2 makes a lot of beautiful classics and this I wanted to put out there for possible consideration of being made diecast. Like M2's autoauthenic cars from the '50's these trucks are awesome. I do wish these had been available back in the days when I used to have a display at farm toy shows - these really would have added to the feel of the '50's era I was trying to portray. Of these the only one I will get is the Studebaker - I like the others but in my downsize mold I really do need to resist most of these. M2 has done a great job with these - here is hoping they continue to do more cars and trucks from the '50's (and still hoping for an Edsel from them).

Kudos to M2 for making two different beds for the '58/'59 GM/Chevy trucks. Thank you Sean for this great batch. I see I need to save some more $ now. |

The Mad Documenter!

That GMC is the star of the field, here. I never, ever thought that I would see that made in scale! That will come home with me, as will the Chevy. The mild custom Ford is a maybe, depending on finances. |
