Yes, I too feel that the gold base kinda ruins the look of the car. It would look better if it was dark grey or black.

I think the gold base on the black one looks pretty good, black and gold are a classic combo. The red one...I think I agree with you there, that one could be a different color, even plain metal or silver.

Just be thankful they have clear glass. I am, after the first issues had nasty dayglow orange windows.

THANK YOU, DEAN. I think the dark red car has yellow, but it's not too bad on this scheme. You're right, that dayglow orange is the pits. I've passed on many a diecast just for that reason.
I wish that they would use a dark smoked tint on all these sort of schemes if they are so against clear glass. At least the tint would be realistic for most custom cars.
