OK, so now I needed to spike my interest a little, so I chose something out of left field. This is the first greenstuff and primer sanding guide for a 62 Dodge Dart. It was doing to be a 4 door Pheonix, read Aussie, but I settled for the Dart, lol, easier, call me a piker. The pics may be a little dark, sorry about that, let me know and I'll see what I can do about lightening them up some. Hope you like the concept, any feed back is good so LMKWYT. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

I don't understand how the Australian Mopars keep getting ignored in 1/64 while the Fords and Holdens get done. They get done in every other scale but the one I collect! The fact that you are rectifying this is a good thing! So far so good with this one!

60, 61, 62 etc Dodges in Aus were all 4 door sedans released under the Pheonix moniker. I have always liked the 62 Dodge body but we never got a 2 door version, even in the Chysler Valiant S and R series. We never got a 2 door until the VH Valiant I think , and that was a reworked 68 Dart. Diecast manufacturers seemed to be pre occupied with representing Plymouth Furys and Blevederes in these years, which is a bummer. Anyway, this is a US Dodge Dart based on a Plymouth casting by RC. |

Beautiful work Dugite. I wasn't sure what you had started with at first but now it makes sense. I remember seeing one of this year Dodge Phoenix go up against a gang of Fairlane Tank Wagons (59 Ford wagons in the US) at a demolition derby in the early 80's and getting hammered. Thanks for the clarification! I thought it looked like a US Dart but I know a lot of early '60s Australian cars are related to their American cousins and look similar so i really wasn't sure. |

Not as neat and tidy as it should be but good enough for the shopping cart that they were. Some paint and wheels for this Dodge round it out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And there ya have it. Another casting that should have been released. I think I should'a give her some tail lights hmmmmm, an oversight. |
