This casting seemed to have a very brief but prolific career. I recall seeing it only for 2 or 3 years, but it made its way into some sets, 5 packs and several mainline variations. One of my favorites among more recent castings in spite of lousy wheels and limited use of metal. I'm not sure if "sandrail" is the official name, but that is what it is and I like sandrails.

Support your local demo derby.

Looks ideal for the off road 5 packs. I suspect HWs 'Roll Cage' used this MB for influence.

I seem to remember they came out within a year or two of each other, but I'm pretty sure (you know how the memory thing is) that the Roll Cage came first.

It does still pop up randomly. I much prefer it to the 2006 Dune Buggy.

This is a 2012 5-pack version.
