the gone loco derby car looks more like a drag car than a derby car, but I still like it

Awesome!!

The Black '69 Camaro from the next release looks sharp! Both Torino's and both Aspen's are must haves for sure... As well as the Cherokee's! What I'm really excited for is the black Scout!! That is the nicest Scout to date for sure!

you may not like the derby stuff but alot do and it gives options to people who are tired of Mustangs, VW's, panel wagons and 69 and older camaros LOL

Its good to have a variety so everyone can find something they like.

Support your local demo derby.

Should be various enough castings and livery to appeal to a wide variety. I really like the use of the Chevy Rally rims on the Camaro, Impala and Monte Carlo. I think Tom heard our comments on how nice those rims are. I'm glad to see the Caprice incorporated into the 64 line and hope for a stock release or two in the future. I like the '58 Impala, old iron Ford wagon, '76 Aspen, gold Jeep, '67 Fury derby, and for sure the Scout from R 25. The newest releases looks like a gold mine.

No, those details are cast in.

And I'm loving everything shown! Looks like some good releases coming up! Of note, before the question comes up, the '58 Impala is noted to be casting #144 (which is the true JL casting of the car) and not the Racing Champions casting that was substituted in one previous release.

Which means a new plastic base must have been tolled up for it. I'm actually surprised the RC tooling wasn't used as I think it does have a plastic base available.

That question already did come up in another thread. Very glad its not the RC casting as I find it hideous even in a custom way as it is meant to be.

However, I still did not recall the Super Sport package being available in 58 for the Impala or 59 and 60 for that matter. According to Wiki (which is sometimes inaccurate) the SS package was not available at all until 1961. So the designation on this release is a bit odd unless it is meant to replicate some kind of tribute car. I know there was such a thing as a 1958 Impala Sport Coupe package though.

I thought Swifty was referencing this RC casting used in the JL line once.

:toy: It looks like a nice variety of models for various collectors in these releases. I like the '55 Chevy in solid red as a fire chief car and of course the BTH cop cars are always ones that I look forward too just as the derby car collectors look forward to the derby cars. It is nice to see the JL '58 Chevy casting being issued again as well.
