A pair of Jaguar XJ6 police cars. One of those cars in which Matchbox did two castings - one making a police car out of the civilian version and one with a blue light bar. They do make a nice pair of British police cars.

I like them both.

Here is another police version. I think this one is an older release versus the British pair:

Okay I think I am going to have to pull my Jaguars out of the case and have a closer look at them. I don't remember my 2 examples (with and without roof lights) having a different color stripe. The one without the lights looks orange whereas the one with lights looks peach. I may have stumbled across new variations to look for.

Yay me! Now to start looking....

I didn't realize there were variations with and without the light bar...I'll have to check as to which version I have since I don't remember off the top of my head.

Wow!! I think it's really neat that Matchbox actually used to change the castings to make them from police to civilian, or vice versa. However, nowadays, that doesn't happen. That's why I was so disappointed when I saw the Gallardo as a Polizia casting, because I knew it would never be used as a sports car. A Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4 casting gone to waste if you ask me.

And Holy Cow David! You can't not notice a variation, can you? :P I never noticed a color difference, then when I looked at your post, I looked back and I was like, "My God, he was right about the variation. Again." :D

What can I say. It is almost like instinct now when I look at pictures to start seeing for things I may not have noticed before.
